DIY: Cleaning Slime

My keyboard is gross..I mean really gross. I can clean the surface but I can't seem to get rid of the crumbs between the gaps. 

I heard about this cleaning slimy gel sold on amazon which you place on the keyboard and it sinks into those gaps engulfing the dust and dirt. 

I was about to order it...then I thought can't I just make this stuff?

Step 1: Make your slime

(it's really really easy! only 4 ingredients Borax, Water, glue, food color)

Step 2: Place on dusty/dirty surface. 

Step 3: Wait a few minutes. Then peel away and look at all the gunk it took out. 

Give it a try! What do you have to lose besides the dust/debris ?^__^

Reused Tissue Box

Okay so sometimes i'm a hoarder...I collect items ( instead of throwing them away) thinking it might come in handy sooner or later. That sort of thinking is what motivates me to do DIY projects. A few weeks ago I had this idea of turning empty tissue boxes (that i have been collecting) into storage containers. You can use it to store whatever you like! Currently i use it in my drawer to store some random junk ^.^. 

What You Will Need:

Empty Tissue Box

Scissors

Glue

Paper Clips

Directions

1. Cut out the top of the tissue box leaving about 1 inch. Cut into the corners.

2.  Put some glue on the tab.  

3. Fold down and use paper clip to secure it in place.

4. Repeat on all other sides. 

5. Let it dry for 30 minutes. 

6. Done! 

* You can cover the inside and outside of tissue box in wrapping paper to make it prettier *

Floral Wallpaper Decal

A few months ago while i was cleaning out my closet i discovered some really old wallpaper borders, they had to be at least 5 years old... Anyhow I saved the wallpapers, thinking i would reuse it some how. And so i did! 

There was a beautiful floral print wallpaper border. Instead of using the wallpaper as is, I decided to cut out pieces and arrange them just above my mirror as if it was a decal. This is what i came up with. 

What You'll Need:

Wallpaper

Scissor

Mod Podge

Paint Brush

Directions 

1. Start by cutting out parts of the wallpaper that you would like to use. ( The wallpaper i used also had fruits but i only used the flowers)

2. Arrange the pieces you've cut out.

3. Once you've decided on a pattern, begin brushing mod podge on to the back of each piece and placing each one on to the wall. Once all the pieces are on the wall let it dry for 30 minutes. 

4. Apply another coat of mod podge on each piece. Let it dry.  

You're done! ^_^
